Studio X is a team that puts each other’s needs first. That being said, even part time help is appreciated. We will not force you to put our team before your other lives. The catch is, this is a non-profit team. We make the game for our amusement, your amusement, and the player’s amusement.

What are you developing?

We have a dream. A dream to make rpg 3d SCI-FI game for pc or a Pokémon open world game.
Do you pay?

Sadly, as a non-profit team, what profit will we have to pay out? If the joy of working in a team and reliving your childhood game isn’t enough, I’m afraid you are on the wrong thread.

If I was interested in applying, what should I do?

To apply all you need to do is message the team leader.

Email Id:thegamekid8@gmail.com

or register at our forum

Forum:http://unitypcgamer.freeforums.org/

Some things we’d like you to include to help us get to know you:

· What role are you applying for?

· How often do you think you will be able to assist?

· Will this be the only team you will be working for?

. Tell us about yourself. Any details are welcome.

SENIOR Lighting ARTIST
LIGHTING + POST-PRODUCTION

Cityscape Digital is looking for an exceptionally talented Senior Artist to join our diverse and creative team.

ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are looking for a skilled 3DS Max or Modo lighting and post-production artist with a passion for creating beautiful visual compositions. We are interested in you if you have a phenomenal portfolio - whether it is 3D to the core or post-production-heavy, painterly or hyperreal. And we expect our senior artists to make things beyond the world of architectural visualization; your portfolio should include evidence of your broader artistic interests.

A deep and proven understanding of the fundamentals of image-making is absolutely essential. A thorough knowledge of your chosen 3D software is a given, as is a love for pushing its limits and discovering new features and innovative methods. Strong post-production is very important. As a senior artist, you will be expected to effectively manage client relationships, lead teams and mentor other artists.

You have a restless obsession for making everything better, whatever it takes, and this makes you a harsher critic of your own work than anyone else will ever be. You can independently develop strong and whenever possible, innovative, imagery. You recognize that looking only to other CG artists for reference is severely limiting, so you look anywhere and everywhere for inspiration; and you drag other artists into reviews of the visual universe at every opportunity. You believe creativity is the answer to all problems.

You are an artist.

Applicants with strong portfolios of visual work will be shortlisted for interview.

If you are interested please send a PDF portfolio and CV c.vass@cityscape3d.com, with the email subject being “Cityscape senior artist”.

We are also happy to receive links to your best and most appropriate work, but if there is no portfolio attached to your email we will NOT review your application. You have been warned. We also cannot guarantee providing feedback on your application due to the high number of responses we normally receive.

ABOUT OUR TEAM
You have to be a bit pushy to work at Cityscape. Like any leading creative industries company operating at the top of its game (which we are), the work is often fast-paced and challenging. When deadlines are tight and we ought to be banging out a competent job, instead we still pursue brilliant visual ideas and exquisite craftsmanship. This works best when artists are highly communicative and beat their own path to a beautiful finish. Those in search of a comfy chair and a set of headphones need not apply! Cityscape is an excellent environment for the proactive artist, because we are famed for our family environment and genuine respect for artistry from any creative background.

COMPANY OVERVIEW
Cityscape Digital is a leading visualization studio located in the heart of London’s Silicon Roundabout, producing the highest quality visuals, film and interactive products in the industry. We work with the world’s most renowned architects and biggest property developers in London and internationally.

Interactive 3D Product Animation / product configurator.

Hello, I wanted to check if you are able to do this kind of work for me, and if you do can you please give me a quote for it. I am a jewelry designer and part of my collection is a combination of wedding bends that compliment an engagement ring by stacking the bends on both sides of the mounting, the bends can also be stacked one next to the other without the engagement ring in the center. The project is to build a3D interactive user experience where the end user is able to mix and match from a selection of rings and wedding bends, by dragging and dropping them to a location on the page where they are stacked side by side. The user will try different combination by adding or replacing the many pieces available while at the same time the total price for the selected combination will change accordingly. The project is a mix of animation and a product configurator.
A few things to keep in mind:
All though the bends or rings will have the same finger size I.e. their inside diameter will be the same, they will very in some of their other dimensions, width height etc.
In order to keep the experience relevant I will need to have a backend system where I can load new designs to the website on a daily basis.
I want the project to be responsive and user friendly to mobile device users (so Flash might not work for this purpose), that will include swipe and other mobile attributes.
The product for the project is in 3D format, designed with a number of Cad-Cam platforms, but for the most part I use Solidworks, I also do the rendering work using Bunkspeed, therefore I believe that there will not be a need for you to do any of that work.
I am going to integrate this project in my word-press web site; however I am dedicating another server for this project until it’s ready to work, I uploaded the server with a new word-press template for that purpose.

Our studio is going through a last stage of securing investment and once funded, the grand plan is to create a single brand/universe over multiple games and platforms, which will appeal to a very wide audience. Initially it will look family friendly (Nintendo like) but with a cool mature depth and maybe cell shaded style.

*Phase 1 - Secure funding with game and product concepts/demos.
*Phase 2 - Once funded a few core team members can be employed, dependent on how much investment is acquired, to acquire sustainable revenue for the studio.
*Phase 3 - Once sustainable revenue comes in then more team members can be employed.

To get to this stage of funding I need to continue developing our existing game demo (Vertical Slice) and mock up some further games and product concepts etc to a high standard. Animation wise, this will require some great looking, almost cartoon like (exaggerated) movements on the characters and everything else.

While there are no funds available at present, we are still a casual ten person team, working from all round the world contributing in our spare time and whenever convenient. You can even contribute for a short period of time, then come back later down the line once the studio matures financially, with the advantage that you had already helped.

What I’m currently looking for (and possibly other team members, but please see end):
*A great 3dStudio MAX Animator (sorry not Maya).
*Able to model, bone/rig and texture to a given standard.
*Own use of software, at least for now.
*Able to voice skype (English) regularly with the Lead and other team members.
*Positive attitude and team player as we all help and advise each other in our tasks.

Also preferable and good to have (but not essential):
*Video production skills to help make inspirational game trailers etc.
*Experience working within Unity3D, Unreal within mobile, PC or consoles.
*Able to concept a given or own idea, in 2d or 3d, within a given style.
*Mobile games experience.

To be clear, there is no wage for the moment but in return:
*You have a chance to join something potentially big from the early stages and possibly grow into an employed role, that I will help you gain.
*A chance to contribute on all aspects of game development, outside your skillset.
*All work will proportionally contribute towards royalties, once the games have been published.
*A chance to develop your skills with actual games industry experience and can add this to your CV, and if nothing else it could help you get the job you’re after.
*Gain game engine conforming experience with Unity and Unreal engines.

Others needed:
We will always be on the lookout for highly talented enthusiastic people, so you are welcome to submit your CV and work examples for when we are within phase 3, and revenue permits.
*Post video production professionals to create cut scenes and movie trailers (needed soon).
*Artists of all kinds.
*Producers and project managers.
*Audio & music.
*Unity and Unreal coders and operators.
*Games designers.

To apply please send your CV, portfolio, show reel or online links to the provided e-mail address. It will also help your submission if you could tell us a little bit about yourself, what your motivation to apply is, how much time you may have spare and when. Maybe some salary expectations for part time and full time too.

If you do not hear from us within two weeks please forgive us, as we are only doing this in our spare time, and like before, inundated with responses. We will only be contacting you within this period if you are successful and in need of your help. However we may be contacting you in months to come as our needs and team grow to see if you are available to contribute or be employed, should we need your skill-set level.

Thank you
