Our client, a North Dallas visual media design firm, is seeking a TOP LEVEL, in-house 3D *Generalist* /
Animator - Artist for immediate hire.
Responsibilities:
Work in collaboration with other in-house artists & management team to ensure delivery of cutting
edge animations to clients.
Create 3D content for animations
3D Modeling/Texturing.
Fluid Simulation.
Compositing for use in static illustrations
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
10 years minimum professional work experience in animation production.
Extensive training and hands-on experience with all aspects of animation process, including 3D
Modeling, UV/Projection Mapping, Lighting/Shaders and, most importantly, animation.
Must possess strong expertise in any of the following - 3D Max (preferred), After Effects, Nuke,
Mental Ray or VRay, Photoshop, Etc. and experienced with setting up renders and operation of a
render farm.
Must be able to model and animate with high level of detail in the following: water, fire,
environments, smoke, mechanical, architecture, scenery.
Must have knowledge of dynamic solvers and fracturing methods.
Very knowledgeable with video codecs and compression for output via web and DVD/CD.
Experience with render farm operation and maintenance required.
Must know low poly and high poly modeling methods and when to use each.
Strong communication skills and ability to work well independently and with others.
Detail-oriented and ability to work quickly, efficiently, and accurately within set project
deadlines.
Must be extremely organized and reliable.
*NOTE: No character modeling or game-related specialty candidates.
