Autodesk is seeking a highly motivated Sr. Designer to join a creative team of professionals who build some of the most advanced 3D animation software design tools for the game, film and design markets.
You have industry experience preparing and translating content from 3ds Max into popular game engines. Role and Responsibilities:
• Design and validate new features across Autodesk products and services, and manage existing feature evolution.
• Work with the product management team to analyze customer requirements and propose solutions to be developed
• Act as a customer advocate to help the team set priorities.
• Research and validate requirements through focus groups, customer visits and market research
• Prototype and validate proposed designs with customers and product development, through presentations and usability tests.
• Create and document design specifications that are consumable by the Product Development, Quality Assurance and Technical Publications teams
• Ensure consistency of the user interface and application workflows
• Contribute to additional designs through collaboration and peer reviews.
• Assist other Designers in the creation and maintenance of interaction and style guides.
• Review, interpret and document defects related to existing and new feature developments
• Train other internal stakeholders on new workflows and functionality
• Maintain familiarity with competitive products
Required Skills and Experience:
• Minimum 5 years working with 3ds Max, Maya or other DCC
• Experience with gaming technology and industry standard engines/editors
• Experience preparing and managing content destined for game engines
• Portfolio or demo reel on request
• Ability to generate clear product ideas and designs
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Excellent presentation skills
Preferred Experience:
• Knowledge of the Autodesk family of design products, such as Revit, AutoCAD, and Inventor.
• UI and interaction design experience
• Experience in Agile software development
